Note

When establishing a Korean language school, please adhere to the following guidelines:

Naming Conventions: The school’s name should be in Korean and should avoid affiliations such as “00 Church Affiliated.” Additionally, please select a unique English name and avoid using abbreviations.

Operational Restrictions: Schools operated for profit, those causing disputes within the Korean community, or institutions whose educational content undermines the values of the Korean Constitution and national identity are ineligible for registration.

Mandatory Reporting: In cases of changes such as the appointment of a new principal, relocation, temporary closure, or permanent closure, prior notification to the Education Center is required.

-Permanent Closure: Submission of a closure confirmation letter is mandatory. This document should include the school’s name, address, school ID, reason for closure, closure date, and the representative’s name and signature.

-Prohibited Practices: Excessive tuition fees for profit, misuse of support funds, operating as a commercial academy for foreigners, running as a cultural center for the elderly, or submitting false documents may result in registration cancellation or exclusion from support programs.

Adhering to these guidelines ensures the integrity and quality of Korean language education within the community.
