K-Capstone Challenge 2025 – Program Announcement

The Seattle Office of Korean Education, in collaboration with the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Seattle, K-Startup Center, and Changbal, is excited to launch the K-Capstone Challenge 2025.

For 6 weeks, you and your team will tackle real-world challenges faced by Korean start-ups—gaining hands-on experience, sharpening leadership, and receiving valuable mentorship. The K-Capstone Challenge is designed to empower students to make meaningful contributions to start-up issues in our region, while building professional problem-solving skills and leadership capacity. Through this program, you will not only grow personally but also make a lasting impact on the Korean American community.

Program Highlights:

• Timeline: November – December 2025 (~6 weeks)
• Hands-On Learning: Real projects with direct mentorship from industry professionals
• Guided Growth: Weekly online lectures and mentoring to strengthen problem-solving skills
• Project Support: Research funding for team projects and innovation
• Stand-Out Experience: Present solutions to KSC resident companies, the Korean Consulate General, and Korean American organizations

Application Instructions:

• Application Period: September 29 – October 15, 2025
• Required Materials:
  1. Completed application form
  2. Unofficial transcript (GPA is for reference only, not a main selection factor)
  3. Personal Statement (500–1000 words total, answering the following):
     
     • Why do you want to participate in the K-Capstone Challenge?
     • What are your main interests for the project? Based on your background, in which field(s) would you like to contribute to solving start-up challenges (e.g., marketing, engineering, finance, business strategy, design, technology, or other)?
• Save your personal statement as a PDF titled: LastName_FirstName_KCapstoneStatement.pdf
