2026 K-Summer Camp Registration [Federal Way, WA]

The Seattle Office of Korean Education K-SUMMER CAMP is an official Korean language and cultural immersion camp organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea and various Provincial Offices of Education.

The 2026 camp will be held in Federal Way at Lake Grove Elementary School and is open to 100 elementary students in grades 1–6 (based on the 2026–2027 academic year).

This is not simply a cultural activity camp—it is a comprehensive cultural education program designed to provide students with meaningful experiences of both traditional and modern Korean culture while fostering global awareness and cross-cultural understanding.

Please note that no prior knowledge of the Korean language is required to participate.

Program Highlights

• Traditional Korean Intangible Cultural Heritage Experience (such as Bukcheong Lion Dance)
• Taekwondo and traditional Korean games
• Hands-on craft workshops (Gat and mask making)
• Korean food-making experience
• New Program: “Learning Korea Through Stories”
  • Lessons centered on Korean folktales and historical figures
• Collaborative games and interactive cultural activities

The program is thoughtfully designed and operated by cultural specialists and educators invited from Korea, along with Korean language teachers and heritage school educators in the Pacific Northwest, ensuring high-quality and age-appropriate programming for local students.

Dates: July 27 – July 31, 2026 (Monday – Friday)
Time: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Eligibility: Grades 1–6 (2026–2027 academic year)
Camp Fee: $200
(Includes lunch, snacks, camp T-shirt, and all activity materials)

Registration Process

Registration Period: February 23 – March 13

If the number of applicants exceeds capacity(100), internal criteria—such as application date and grade-level allocation—will be considered. In cases of equal priority, final participants will be selected through a random drawing process.

• Selection results will be emailed individually by March 18.
• Detailed payment and participation instructions will be sent to selected families via email.

Payment Information

Camp Fee: $200

The fee includes:

Payment instructions will be provided by email only to selected participants after the lottery announcement (March 18).
Failure to complete payment by the specified deadline will result in automatic cancellation of registration.
